CONSTANT JOURNEYS Greetings! Meegwetch! Our apologies for not updating the
newsletter to this point, but the daily demands that the centre creates for us
and its rapidly increasing growth doesn’t allow us to do all the things we would
like to do and when we would like to do them. The Human Development Centre’s vision is to
create a forum for discussion, sharing, networking, and individual and community
support for families and individuals within northeastern Ontario. As we all know, our society’s teachings
project an enormous amount of responsibility on individuals today. Consequently,
our coping mechanisms have weakened throughout the last decade to a point where
people are confused, angry, tired and feel very much alone. On Saturday, June 2, 2007, we will be
holding a grand opening celebration in our wonderful facility called the
universal room, which accommodates at least 100 people. Our doors will be open for celebration from
1 pm to 4 pm and in the evening from 6 pm to 9 pm. During that time, Catherine O’Connell,
northern representative for Neale Donald Walsh’s Humanity Group, invites you to
attend a break-out session with the centre’s Humanity Group from 2 pm to 3 pm
and 7 pm to 8 pm. Discussion and exploration will be held with Neale’s books
titled: “Conversations With God” and how they relate to every human being’s
daily life. Registration will be available for future sessions as well. The centre’s Humanity Group will be part of
a spirituality-base philosophy that we are all related; we are all brothers and
sisters, part of the four nations – red, white, yellow and black. Each nation
holds a gift and that when all four come together they manifest peace, love, and
understanding that we are all one. We believe that the combination of thought
and emotion gives one a complete picture of their own reality, not that of
another’s. We feel that each human being’s birth rite is to explore all
possibilities. The centre will encourage each individual to explore, find and
embrace their own reality. Come and walk the path of shared discoveries.
We are located at 311 Elm St., Suite 1. We
will have speakers from different cultures sharing their knowledge and wisdom
with us. For further inquiries call 705-523-9882. Don’t forget to mark June 2nd in your daily
agenda!
